Students will become tuneful, beat-ful, and artful musicians.
"To have tunes in their heards and learn to coordinate their voices to sing those tunes." - John Feierabend Tuneful

Students will learn to appreciate and meaningfully participate in music, even if they do not join band or choir in middle school.
All students have a right to music education. All children can sing and be musical, and it is my job to inspire that within them. In my classroom, students will learn to read music notation; listen for musical elements; move to, discuss, and create music; but most of all, to love music.
Music should be something enjoyed within the family and the community.
I encourage students to sing and share the songs we learn with friends and family. In doing this, I hope to build a sense of community and connection between students and their families through music. "Ask Me" sheets will be coming home soon with younger grades!
